Riverside Arts Space
Studio rental guideLines
● You are welcome to use the space in its entirety, we just ask that you return all furniture, props, and studio equipment back to its original location before leaving.
● Rental time includes load-in to space, setup, and breakdown. Please keep this in mind when reserving your studio time.
● CARRY-IN CARRY-OUT POLICY: Please do not leave trash in the studio. As a local photographer, it is important for me to provide an affordable space for other local artists. In efforts to keep costs low, I am not charging a cleaning fee at this time, unless the studio is left in excessively dirty conditions. Please help me continue to keep this space affordable by cleaning up after your session and packing out all trash and personal belongings. Many cleaning products have been provided. Please sweep/vacuum and wipe down surfaces (including white flooring) with cleaning spray or wipes.
● Please keep in mind, this is an industrial artistic space, and normal wear and tear of the space and furniture is to be expected as part of studio aesthetic. If renter notices damage to furniture, props, or studio space that exceeds normal wear and tear, please take a photo and notify the studio immediately to avoid being held accountable.
● We put a lot of time and effort into renovating this into a space that is safe and clean to photograph clients and their families. With that said, we are still a new studio and it is possible that we did not catch everything! Especially if your shoot involves young kids or bare feet, please just use a little extra caution. If you see anything we may have overlooked, please let us know and we will be happy to fix it (ex. exposed nails)
● Space heaters are not permitted in the building. Please use the heating dial located on the wall to the left to adjust temperature, and turn off when leaving.
● The use of flammables (candles/matches/lighters/smoking) is strictly prohibited in the studio and on mill property.
● Do not ride in the elevator. The studio is located on the fourth floor and is accessible by stairs only, so please take into consideration any physical limitations for you and your clients before booking the studio. If needed, a freight elevator is permitted for transporting large or heavy items. Elevator use is intended for equipment only. Operating the freight elevator can be confusing without prior knowledge, so please take time to familiarize yourself with regulations and operating instructions posted outside the elevator prior to using.
● Pets are permitted in the studio/mill at risk of renter. We do accommodate renters and clients with allergies, so do your best to remove pet hair from furniture and studio areas. You can find a broom, dust pan, and cleaning products in the storage area, but if you anticipate needing more than these basic cleaning supplies, please plan ahead.
